Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an alternative health care system, using ancient holistic medicinal traditions. Herbs are used which can be taken orally as supplements, in preparatory oils for massage or in ointments for topical use.
Ayurveda / Oil & Heat
This technique can be used for a full body massage or on a specific joint as a part body massage. Herbal infused oils or specially prepared boluses can be used. This is then followed by use of hot towels or steam which help to deliver the therapeutic effects where needed.
Massage:
- Stimulates the flow of blood and lymph
- Improves circulation
- Removes toxins
- Reduces stress, improves relaxation
Heat:
- Opens the pores of the skin allowing deeper penetration
- Relaxes muscles, ligaments and tendons releasing tension
- Creates space, allowing natural alignment
